Create an index of all the content within a Joomla site for improved searching and cross-linking of content. Improve search performance, accuracy, and relevance.

Advanced Search with an Option to Filter Search based on the Sections and Categories i.e. search in a particular section and or category or whole site. Search in Documents etc. This advancement will make Joomla based sites more powerful and user friendly.

The core components and modules in Joomla should be more compatible with Google Webmaster Tools. For example, the core menu module should bee compatible with google's menu indexing capability, and sitemaps should be auto generated.

Create an extended functionality in the search function, so when you click on a search result, the text is scrolled down to the searched term, and the search term is put in bold letters.
This is usefull for longer text.

At current time, searching for "table", in results, you will have, also, "suitable" etc. If you have a large amount of articles, especially for latin based languages, this is real panic...

there should be an option in the Search module in which we could select whether which articles should be displayed in search result and which should be not!

There should be the ability to add custom extra fields to articles and then to make a heavily filtered search based on those extra fields, similar to what k2 search extensions offer.

A custom and heavily filtered search is very important today for nearly any site and joomla should have it out of the box.

Adding advanced search options

Smart Search filter should/must allow to select empty categories and its child.
At themoment It's possible to select only categories that are already indicized and have already at least an article, but if articles are inserted by many users, it's "impossible" to update the filter every time a category is filled.
It is bettere that a user can choose a category independently if it has an article or not, bettere if selecting a category, all child categories are automatically selected

I deside what is most important when someone search my content. I can tag it from f.ex 1 to 10, the lower number the higher importanse. Everything taged with importanse 1 comes first in the search result.
