  It would make the reordering of the items in the admin listings very, very convenient! Some 3pd extensions already support it. Let me note, I already met this feature in another CMS, and is much faster and simpler than moving an item up or down one by one, or even by entering the numbers to achieve the desired ordering.

  Why? When you create an article you MUST assign it to a category anyway, so what good would a drag/drop do?

  like wordpress, we want feature like select many articles and can drag&drop to assign it to a category.. or quick edit on listing view at the backend..
