  I think it would be nice to see a more appropriate Joomla version numbering system. ie Joomla 1.0 = version 1.x.x, Joomla 1.5 = 2.x.x, Joomla 1.6 = 3.x.x Each new major version update would be 1.0 - 2.0 - 3.0 –etc. and minor version releases would be X.1, X.2, X.3, so the most current Joomla release would be 3.0.7 or something like this, I think it would make Joomla look more like a mature product and help differentiate between different major releases. Just a thought
