When I get install a new template in Joomla and I want to add a module in a specific position, I literaly have to guess the name of te position where I want put the module.
Names like user1, user2, user3 are not intuitives.
And many times some positions seems dosen't work.

A position map like the cheat of:
/index.php?tp=1
but in the back-end of the modules and a little more complete and readable

Categories in level different from the 1st should should be expandable (and of course collapsable) in a sort of tree. When a website has many categories (and subs) it's a really a problem to managing them! Try to manage a website in wich are described towns and their provinces, their regions, their nations... is quite a feat :-)
